Stephen Houghton Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 It seems to me that the dance floors have come a long way what does anybody think.ย The one that I remember that was a total bliss, was the memorial hall in Wrexham, that was a soullies dream. The dodgy one was at Blackpool ballroom with loose bits of wood, and my wife went head over heels and broke her wristย

Kevin Jones Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 The dance floor at The Wrexham Memorial Hallย is still as good as ever. Then Broughton Wings a close second. Kev 1
The Tempest Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Central Pier at Morecambe - You could see through bits of it as the tide was coming in !!!!! 1 1

Winsford Soul Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 I'm biased but Winsford civic centre took some beating,ย Nantwich civic,ย Lowton civic,ย there's a theme developing here. Steveย 2

Zoomsoulblue Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 KGB Sheffield - it was a full time dance (take ur kids there) centreย although those full walled mirrors did ur head in - as that person was always staring back at you - 1 1

Ronnie Mccarthy Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Kierby Hotel in Burnley was a great little sprung floor, apart from one corner that was more like a trampoline. ย
Speedlimit Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Notts palias up till they changed it in the early 90s, sherwood rooms Notts, both had massive full sprung floors.ย 1

alanmandy Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Okey club Keighley,ย Riley Smith Hall Tadcaster, Monaco Wigan and Grosvenor Rooms Sutton in Ashfield ย all great dancing floors and venues. 1 1
Frankie Crocker Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Mister Mโs was better than the main room at Wigan. Manchester Ritz was good fun - you let the floor move you so dancing was effortless. Any wooden floor for me, especially with talc in a spot or two. Hated Marley tiles and painted concrete floors. 1
Popular Post Chas Posted April 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 16, 2020 Ritz Manchester in the 70's when the dance floor was raised up, and the 'heart of England soul club' logo was suspended over the middle. You could be stood at the bar and still feel the bounce. The halcyon days when having a 1000 + attendance was the norm. 3 1
