Soulaction Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Most people will be aware of her wonderful 'Is Here' album on Astroscope. A truly classic 70's soul release, I'm sure you all agree. But we have the following 45 by her, that we cant find much info about. Discogs does not seem to have any record of it, under her releases. And for us, it's one of our favourite tracks from her album. We cant even remember when or where we bought it, but have owned it for over 25 years. Fascinating, Devastating Man Eleanore Mills Astrocope AS-117A 1974 release. Label is the usual light Blue & White Astroscope label design. Other side is just a blank white label, with no recording on it. Was just wondering if anyone has a copy, and any idea of value? Is it quite a rare piece, or just not well known as a 45? Any info would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance, Donna.

Soulaction Posted April 15, 2020 Author Posted April 15, 2020 Hi Soulman, Thanks for that, so seven years ago. Not sold since then, so cant be that common. Anybody else got any input, or interest in the record? Cheers Donna.

Looks like a Craig Moorer scan from the Popsike sold item and he knows his prices It is a no doubt a rare thing..... as Soulman58 said 7 years ago and prices may have gone up, but rare as you know doesn't mean worth a fortune Edited April 15, 2020 by Blackpoolsoul
Soulaction Posted April 15, 2020 Author Posted April 15, 2020 Yes I agree, it's a very hard one to put a value on. Thanks for your input. Donna.
Kenb Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 when i was doing my Northern Connections #22 ( just published this week on here), i also came across Eleanor. She released 'Tonite' under the name Those Guys a trio ( with the Basement Boys)-1991. 2

Soulaction Posted April 15, 2020 Author Posted April 15, 2020 If anybody was interested in buying this record, feel free to make an offer. Would start any bids at £100, as it's seven years since seen for sale. It's in a very strong EX+ condition, both vinyl & labels. I will let it run for a bit, and if I get an offer I cant refuse I may sell it. If not may be better trying to sell it on ebay, or even see if a dealer is interested in auctioning it. Thanks for all the input, Cheers Donna.

Soulaction Posted April 15, 2020 Author Posted April 15, 2020 Hi, I should have put send me a direct message, if someone was interested. It is just testing the water, at this stage. So to clarify, send me a direct message if interested. Donna. 1
Soulaction Posted April 16, 2020 Author Posted April 16, 2020 I have received an offer of £125 by a member, for the discussed 45. Not enough to tempt me to sell yet, as it does seem to be a rare record. Any higher offers are welcome. Would fit nicely into any 70's/Crossover type set. Would save lugging the album around as well. Who knows if there was a bit of a buzz on it in the future, it would surely go up quickly in value. But please if intersted Direct Message me, and not reply on this thread. Thanks Donna.
