Jazz expert required

A friend's father has recently died. In 1943 his ship was in new York for 3 months for repairs.

Being a jazz fan, he scoured the record shops for vinyl Lps and 45s. My pal thinks some may be quite rare.

Does anyone know of any jazz specialist in the UK who may be able to help. Obviously I know of john tetfeller but would prefer to deal with UK.

In 1943, there would have been no 45's and no LP's ... everything would have been old shellac 78's.

I was simply quoting what I was told by my pal. I'll get him to check his facts but it was definitely 1943 when his father bought the records.

I’d Popsike them for a quick idea of price.

If you go down the route of selling them yourselves be aware that the buyers are very very critical on grading.
