Guest Demotron Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Hi everybody! Some nice set sales here for the start of 2007. If you are interested in something or want to hear a sound-clip, let me know by PM or email: markus.karlqvist(at)gmail(dot)com , Paypal payment preferred. 45's Marshall, Donovan, Broomfield: That's Love/Let's Dance (Augusta) VG £150 - Both sides have a bunch of marks, but they play through flawlessly with only minimal noise. Plays VG+. No skips, pops or anything else nasty. Chance to get this fantastic stepper with a bargain price! Neal Sharpe and Debra Franklin: I'm Back For More/I'm Heaven Sent (Joint Venture) VG++ £50 - a very nice stepper from Texas. Probably very rare, because I couldn't find any info about it. Isley Brothers: Work To Do/Beautiful (T-Neck) NM £15 - mid-tempo classic. Always works on the dancefloor. Hot Bush: Tell Me that You Will/ Rock Steady (APA) NM £20 Charlie Jones: She's A Right On Girl/ I Feel Like Humming (B and NM £10 - good 80's ballad from San Francisco. The Teques: Don't Push My Love Cup/ Shy Boy (Gary) VG+ £35 - quality cross-over that appears to be quite scarce. General Lee: We Did It Baby Pt.1&2 (Lost Weekend) NM £30 - very nice 70's soul tune with a unique sound. New World: Help The Man/ same (Polydor) NM £25 - no, sadly this one does not contain "We're Gonna Make It". Nevertheless, this midtempo funk tune with social-political message is quite good and very rare as well. Something to hold on to while tracking down the issue with the more sought after track. Dunn & Bruce Street: The Moment Of Truth/ I You Come With Me (Devaki) NM £15 M&M: Let's Get It On/ Fighting For Your Love (Northern) NM £30 - quality early 80's cover version of the Marvin Gaye classic, with an interesting funkier b-side. Willie Clayton: Running In & Out My Life/ Love Pain (Kirstee) NM £10 - two good modern tunes from Chi-town, produced by General Crook. The Sandpebbles: If You Didn't Hear Me The First Time/ Flower Power VG++ £15 Magic: I Think I Love You/ That's How Strong My Love Is (Monster) VG+ £50 - monster blue-eyed funk tune with driving drums. The Two Things In One: Stop Telling Me/ Together Forever (Music City) VG+ £25 - good Bay Area funk with those lovely drumbreaks. Lovely ballad on the other side. Isley Brothers: Get Into Something Pt.1&2 (T-Neck) NM £15 - quite hard to find Isley's funk tune. Darondo Pulliam: How I Got Over/ Won't Your Love So Bad (Ocampo) VG++ £60 - This 1st 45 by Darondo of the "Didn't I" fame is officially very hard to find. Carl Hall: Need Somebody To Love/same (Atlantic) NM £15 Chester Randle's Soul Senders: Soul Brother's Testify pt.1&2 NM £35 - extremely hard funk Al Trahan: Can I Feel It/Hey Girl (Spidletop) NM £35 Ike Turner and The Soul Seven: Everything Is Everything pt.1&2 VG+ £25 - severe label damage on this one. The wax is fine with a few marks LP's Alice Clark: S/T (Mainstream) NM £70 - sublime soul LP. Not one bad track on this one. The Staple Singers featuring Mavis Staples: This Time Around (Stax) VG++ £35 - "Tripping On Your Love" is a x-over gem.
