It seems a small number of a 1985 re-working of 'Pusherman' have appeared, they are by the original artist, the lyrics are the same but it is an 80's funk / rap like take on the original, has anybody got any info on these, where they suddenly (if it is a recent finding??) appeared from etc?

Ste.

I think he's taken the soundclip link down off the site now he's sold the record.

What's the tempo like compared to the original?

Will you be playing it out?

I only got the track yesterday, got home late after a few drinks so just had a quick listen before i passed out!

As i remember, the pace is slower and the lyrics are spoken / rapped in an early 80's stylee (sort of...) I will try and get somebody to do me a link and pass it on to you.

I think i will stick to the original for now though in terms of playing it out...

...Ignore my last description, i listened again last night and wasn't semi pished / half asleep this time! The track is, in my opinion, maybe inspired by Gill Scott Heron in the way the lyrics are just spoken with a funky guitar playing in the background - not a patch on the original but interesting all the same!
