Pete S Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 PETE SMITH 28 JENKS ROAD WOMBOURNE WOLVERHAMPTON WV5 0BL 01902 893569 Pete.smith@freeuk.com RECORDS NOW AVAILABLE PLUS UPCOMING ITEMS IF ANYONE WANTS TO RESERVE THEM These available now: DENISE LASALLE - A LOVE REPUTATION - TARPON VG++ 60 I thought this copy was goping to be EX - the other side is, but Love Reputation has got some kind of mini-scratches where it must have been rubbed against something, anyway at one point you can hear a few background clicks, it's nothing terrible. Labels are nice. It's up at £150 on John Manship's site so to put it into prospective I'll do this at £60. BRUCE SCOTT - YOU CAN'T LOSE SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER HAD - MGM DEMO M 50 Remember the 100 Club anniversary single credited to Chubby Checker? Turned out to be Jimmy Radcliffe, supposedly...anyway, that was a sparse demo version, here's the actual completed version which was released. One for the big beat ballad fans, a real grower. You can hear it here: https://www.soul-source.co.uk/index.p...c=40348&hl= MELVIN ELLING - LONELY EYES - STRETCH M- 150.00 Best copy of this I've ever seen - looks almost brand new - spotless vinyl and labels, brilliant Stafford oldie FIRST GENERATION - GIVE HIM UP - UK HIGH NOTE EX 75.00 Anyone who used to get my fanzine Beatin' Rhythm (yes, it came before the shop) might remember that I had this covered up about 12 years ago - this is the first time I've had a copy since. Very very scarce (as are most releases on this reggae label) but it's a great piece of female soul, almost crossover. Anyway you can hear it here: https://www.soul-source.co.uk/index.p...c=40347&hl= THE FOLLOWING ARE ARRIVING IN THE NEXT WEEK OR TWO, IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ANY I'LL PUT YOUR NAME DOWN, THE PRICE IS APPROXIMATE UNTIL I GET HOLD OF THE RECORD THE HARRISON BROTHERS - RUN FOR YOUR LIFE - BOBALOU 300 ENTERTAINERS IV - GETTING BACK INTO CIRCULATION - DORE DJ 50-60 THE IMPACTS - JERKIN' IN YOUR SEAT - COUNSEL 100 DEE CLARK - THAT'S MY GIRL - CONSTELLATION WHITE DEMO 75 Rarest format - original WD THE AVALONS - MANY THINGS FROM YOUR WINDOW - ROULETTE DJ 30 THE MALIBUS - GEE BABY I LOVE YOU - SURE SHOT DEMO 100-125 RODD KEITH - I'M A MAN - PREVIEW 300 (Blurb from the ebay seller I got it from) Any Northern Soul collector worth his or her salt is familiar with the hideously rare and much sought after single "Like The Lord Said" by Rodd Keith - a driving dance burner if there ever was one. "I'm A Man" features the identical backing track, but unlike Rodd's single "Gloria" which features this backing track and has shown up multiple times on eBay, other than the copy I am offering for auction, there is only one other known copy of "I'm A Man" (and I, unfortunately am not its owner!). DEREK MARTIN - IF YOU GO - SUE 50 OVELLA & THE OVERTURES - THAT'S ALL YOU GOTTA DO - COLUMBIA DJ 40 DEON JACKSON - NURSERY RHYME - ATLANTIC DEMO 30 ARGIE & THE ARKETTES - YOU'RE THE GUY - RONNIES 100 ROSCO GORDON - THAT'S WHAT YOU DID - ABC DEMO ? JAN BRADLEY - BEHIND THE CURTAINS - NIGHT OWL DJ 40 EARL SCOTT - ALL MIXED UP - CASH SALES 100 BOBBY CALLENDAR - MY BABY CHANGES LIKE THE WEATHER - BAMBOO 75 NANCY WILSON - THE END OF OUR LOVE - CAPITOL 20
