Popular Post Andybellwood Posted March 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) Whilst strictly speaking a late 2019 release in US only became available via UK retailers in 2020 . Roland Johnson's fabulous Lp . He's 72 ! from St Louis and its released by Blue Lotus Recordings . Title track is 'Set your mind free' and i'm hopeful it will be a 45 release in the not too distant future . Getting spins from me on my radio show & dj sets to a great reaction. Popular Post Rick Scott Posted March 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2020 This site has got so Quite it's Unreal so let's liven it up a bit with a release from The back end of last month on the fab 'Love Monk' record Label with "Sweet Maybe" (Voc. & Inst.) Just love this Nod Back to the Patrick Adams/Johnny Copeland/Cloud one Sound that was sin-ominous with the Scene at The Blackpool Mecca And Cleethorpes. (As Well as other Forward Thinking Venues) On my turntable at home every other day at least, love it, but may not be to every body's taste and i get that. BUT If Boogie - Funk is your Thing "Crank Up The Volume And Dance" For now, Thanks For Listening, Stay Safe & Well....... Rick 3 1
Rick Scott Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Came across this today (19-3-20) thought it very nice, a track to listen to with the lights turned real low and a glass of wine to sooth the soul, (in my case a cup of tea) Rest of the album a bit so so but this track is real nice and the Gal can sing. From the album 'Stand Up!' By Whitney Shay - Track.... I never meant to love him, hope you like it........Rick 2
Popular Post Rick Scott Posted March 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 27, 2020 Well here is one i'm loving at the mo, Not going to be everybody's cup of tea (So Be kind), fabulously simple JAZZ DANCE TUNE by Emma Jean Thackray with a track called "Movement" from her brand new 12" EP * Great beat and some lovely Horn Blowing and Official video reminding us of how much we are missing being able to Dance and Enjoy one another's company and only a short time into this mess. Turn Up The Volume And Enjoy * Take Care & Stay Safe......... Rick 4
Thinksmart Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 (edited) Maybe it's because I've had more time - but some great new tunes from Bobby & Steve, GLOW, J.D's Time Machine, Frank Addai, Warryn Campbell, Binky Womack, Lukas Setto & others being played at present. New Tower of Power album has some non-funk Modern Soul, Monophonics album sees their evolution progress towards the late 60s/early 70s. It is a challenging time in society but there is some great music around too. Edited April 7, 2020 by Thinksmart 2

Cheers, Mark R Fantastic track, just a pitty it's taken 25 years to see a 45 release. I'm sure that will inspire more 45 releases of the bottom less pitt of quality CD tracks from the last 30 years, sadly which many failed to buy through shallow reasons only known to themselves. Well done Patrick and Mark R for raising it's profile. 1
