Soulfulsolutions Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) If the high street are advertising Crimbo already, I guess its fair game and this can be classed as a December sales list..... Enjoy! PM any questions or to reserve, sound files on request. 1) Fluffy Falana - My little cottage (by the sea) - Alpha 007 M- £500 SOLD (Growing in stature year on year, an old Casino favourite that ticks my box) 2) Coasters – Crazy baby – Atco 6379 M- £275 (Perfect Northern outing from this traditionally doo-wop / rock and roll group, proving its quite often the case that big artists catalogues include at least one release with Northern appeal. Smashing stock copy) 3) Bobby Paris – Night owl – Cameo 396 M- £300 (Releases of this iconic track are on the whole vinyl pressings, but here with have the incredibly impressive west coast styrene stock copy, that looks imperious in its rampant red with delicate Cameo brooch logo. A joy to behold and play. Just the feintest hint of feedback on the clear run in and ring wear on the label, otherwise it would be a NM copy) 4) Milton Wright & Terra Shirma Strings – The gallop – Carla 1902 M- £125 SOLD (Feintest ring wear on this lovely Ollie McLaughlin label) 5) Ohio Players – You don’t mean it – Compass 7015 Ex £70 (Flat but engaging vocals over this funky edged dancer, nice on Compass stock copy, light ring wear) 6) Otis Blackwell – It’s all over me – Epic 10654 WD Ex- £75 (Some light pops in places, still a nice play copy) 7) Velvet Satins – Nothing can compare to you – General American 006 WD M- £300 (Top condition with Nashville and Bell Sound stamped, I am told the rarest demo print for this 45, label printed slightly North!) Very feint ink smudge on the label from the printing process) 19) Gloria Lane – Let’s get together / Love of my life – Spotlight 1001 M- Pol £450 (Real “Guy Hennigan” obscurity that saw some action in his Stafford sets. Tidy double sider) 20) Rose Brooks – I’m moanin’ – Soul City 750 WD Ex- £200 (Sticker mark on flip label) 21) Gladys Knight & the Pips – No one could love you more / Take me in your arms and love me – Tamla Motown 864 Green Demo M- £275 (Stunning copy, centre intact and the bonus of 2 dance floor fillers with differing appeal, what’s not to like) 22) Sam Fletcher – I’d think it over – Tollie 9012 WD Ex+ £375 SOLD (What an intro, dulcet tones again draw’s the listener in, achingly good soul on a lovely white demo, just as a couple of light pops as the run in goes off, can’t see why) 23) Tobi Lark – Happiness is here – Topper 1011 Ex+ £200 (Super track, light label wear from someone trying to rub 2 penned XOL off!)
