is the true instrumental of "back street" available on legit vinyl or legit cd,i have heard it on a crackly stafford tape from the 80s sounds great where did it come from and who first played it,i stopped going to all nighters/soul nights in about 1979 but boxed all my 45s up and put them in the loft got married etc as you do,kept among others my fav 45 ronnie mcnair on deto(nashville matrix stamped)sitting in my class still my fav track and great detroit i still love the soul music/scene as much as ever, someone else has inquired on soul-source how did margret littles "love" stay hidden and undiscovered for so long it would have graced wigan casino at any year?????? i think that most copys are issues so how come it has been missed by dj/record collector hounds etc,so who found it and where from, who played it first its a great tune,thanks...

Yeah, it's the flip to Edwin Starr's vocal on Ric-Tic, legit USA release.

The RIC TIC single's instrumental has the girly backing singers on it, Guy Hennigan used to play at Stafford the band track i.e. no vocals

The Back Streets instrumental Guy used to play. Is an completly different take to the flip on of the Ric Tic single. It was from an unreleased studio disc, he and Chris King found in Detroit
