The Yank Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 (edited) While looking for something else, I came across this old ad in an issue of Record World from July, 1967. I'm assuming Sherry is Scherrie Payne, Freda's sister and future member of the Glass House and the Supremes. Does anyone know if she cut any tracks while she was with Groovesville/ Revilot/ Solid Hit ? Edited November 13, 2019 by The Yank
Robbk Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 I have never seen nor heard of any recording (tape, vinyl demo record, or acetate) that Sherry Payne made for Solid Hitbound Productions. Wouldn't that have been part of Don Davis' master tapes (which should have been in his son's hands when he died)?
Blackpoolsoul Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 (edited) Very interesting this question There is no mention here of any solo release until 1982 https://www.thehistorymakers.org/biography/scherrie-payne-41 Edited November 13, 2019 by Blackpoolsoul
The Yank Posted November 13, 2019 Author Posted November 13, 2019 I've got a feeling that Solid Hitbound productions got ahead of themselves when they ran the ad. Would still like to know if anything was cut on Sherry. 1
Rich B Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Definitely not a Solid Hitbound prod (or for that matter solo) but I have this duet with Neil Pointer from about 1980 in a box somewhere; Thought it might interest someone.

I'm sure that was a track taken from the Glass House album and credited to her as a solo artist
