Lee Fields became a soul singer because of James Brown. He earned early success by covering one of the Godfather of Soul's songs. Fields even earned the nickname “Little JB,” for Little James Brown. Now touring on his new album, “It Rains Love,” Fields spoke with the PBS NewsHour on how he forged his own path, why he left the music business for several years, and what it was like meeting his idol.
