Geeselad Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Hope this hasn't been posted before, I found it a fascinating article. https://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/10/magazine/the-brazilian-bus-magnate-whos-buying-up-all-the-worlds-vinyl-records.html
Guest Shufflin Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 "In the same stack was another single — “Heartache Souvenirs"/"Chicken Shack,” by William Powell — that has fetched as much as $5,000 on eBay" does make you wonder what is out there
Frankie Crocker Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 A questionable act. Most records have no resale value. Huge collections take up valuable space and are time consuming to manage. Better to collect selectively and enjoy the music. Nothing wrong in bulk buying if there’s a chance of finding something special. To buy up all the records in the world is mission impossible and ultimately a colossal waste of time and money.
