Simon T Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Hello Simon, Carl F's got the original now. pottsy. Hi Ady Thanks for confirming that. It was next to an acetate of Damon Fox- Packing Up, sort of stopped looking for fear of embarsing myself! you still got his Bernadine?
Pete S Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Plenty of one off's played at the 100 club each month I was saying this is a bad thing not a good thing Baz, if you can't hear them anywhere else.
Ady Potts Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 you still got his Bernadine? don't know if he's noticed yet
Guest Baz Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I was saying this is a bad thing not a good thing Baz, if you can't hear them anywhere else. Why, it makes people travel to the venue, and its why its the #1 in the world hearing it every where played buy DJ's with little imagenation to find there own tunes, is why we are in a crap state venue wise. All IMO of course Errrm on topic i like Andy Fisher
Guest rachel Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 To get back to the original question for a sec, was this definitely about Hearts beating stronger, or the vastly superior (imo) Wee bit longer ..? Is one the flip of the other? Or are they different records? And does anyone think we should start one big originals/reissues/boots/acetates/CDs/mp3s showdown thread so you can all go for it in one place for the rest of the decade?

All IMO of course Errrm on topic i like Andy Fisher Yes but hardly anyone will travel just to hear sounds nowadays because the scene is so small (when I say hardly anyone I'm talking about people who would physically travel to the 100 club to hear one single record like we used to do in the 70's). You are taking the words Keep The Faith too literally, no wonder the scene is so insular if you don't want anyone else to hear the tunes.

Then they should do what i do and get off me back side and be part of the scene if there wernt so many crap do's on loacly to people then there might be a scene like you had in the seventys
Modernsoulsucks Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Does anyone know how much for a mint Andy Fisher on fat fish? And how many are out there........? I think Sean should be barred from the site with his provocative questions designed to sow dissension in the ranks. I think you owe everybody an apology,Sean. I don't know Keith but I've met Carl couple of times and Im sure he wouldn't be as miffed as some of the people on here if someone played a cut of one of his 45s before he could. I guess there'd be a moment's irritation and then he'd play something else instead. ROD
