Guest sycamore017 Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Looking to the collective knowledge of these forums to help me ID this record. This acetate was among a couple of crates of LPs I purchased several years ago. Is this Al Wilson? It's definitely a very different version from the Playboy 45 and album. Records is around 10" size and has no info in the matrix/runout. Looking forward to solving this, thanks! I can post a better recording soon if there's interest.
Simon T Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 (edited) . Different vocalist on a studio demo take, never released? The female version most probably be First Choice's release. Mr google suggests there's a version by Al Jay A1I've Got A Feeling We'll Be Seeing Each Other Again A2Slipping In Early A3I've Got A Feeling We'll Be Seeing Each Other Again (Extended Instrumental And Vocal Mix) B1Do Tha Gangsta Dance B2Jay's Groove B3Lend A Helping Hand B4I've Got A Feeling We'll Be Seeing Each Other Again (Bonus Track) Edited August 10, 2019 by Simon T
Alan T Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Definately doesn't sound like Al Wilson. More likely to be one of the writers Banks and Hampton, they were writing a lot and singing together when they wrote this.
Guest sycamore017 Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 This is great. I hadn't seen the Al Jay version yet and wasn't aware the writers sang too. Thank you both!

Guest Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Another version of 'I've Got A Feeling' from Johnny Dean - Not bad IMO. I agree with the consensus that your demo is Homer Banks.
