Mike Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Just a quick end of year thing THE SOUND OF 2006 - The Members Choice! Idea is that each member can nominate ONE track as their personal choice as The Sound Of 2006 It can be for what ever reason, but do ask that post up a quick word why you choose the track Way it works is up to the 1st Jan all members can nominate a track , after Jan 1st - all members can then vote/rate each track On Jan 5th - the track with the best rating will be the winner and be the members choice for The Sound of 2006 How to nominate - simple either upload a clip of the track in this thread (in the upload form pleases choose the "sounds of 2006" category or post by using the "cut and paste" (see below if not sure) as said do ask give a brief word why and please limit it to one choice! Voting - Will start on Jan 2 each member can vote/rate any track Rules - nothing too complex, all a bit of fun, nominations by Jan 2 Thats all ---------------------------------------------------------- cut and paste find track you wish either via search at top of page or via browsing refosoul once found click the and info will show what to copy and paste to post clip eg if copy and paste [c]13000[/c] into this thread it will show as below...[/code] 13000 refosoul
Guest Simon Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 7644 refosoul Not sure if this is gonna work as it's the first tune i've copied & pasted from refosoul but if it doesn't work i was trying to paste up Calvin Grayson - You've got to be willing. Never heard of this up until a couple of months ago, proper driving NS dancer, the sort of stuff that should be played on dancefloors imo & if anyone has a copy for sale at a reasonable price, let's talk business! Simon
Supercorsa Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) I nominate the following track which sounds great out: I dont wanna lose him - Gigi and the Charmaines -Kent anniversary 10276 refosoul Thanks to Kenny, for posting this in the sounds section. And thanks to Ady C for putting it on vinyl. Edited December 30, 2006 by Supercorsa

Guest Roccia Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) 1783 refosoul The Spidells "Pushed Out Of The Picture" Heard from an old Stafford tape, Guy Hennigan played this under C/U and I didn't know who the artist was. Me mate Marco "Inge" posted a thread on here, and finally we discovered they're the Spidells. Bought the record for a very good price, and now is one of my usual spins... Mike Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 thanks for all nominations so far quick couple of things quickest way to find a track is use the search feature (box at the top of every page when logged in) the clips search results show at the bottom , hit more results if not there (a search specfic box will be added to refosoul shortly) voting/rating will only start/count once the noms are closed cheers mike
Guest Bogue Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Do It Zulu Style - hank ballard -king 11843 refosoul This is my favourite clip of the year, posted by Pikey's Dog in one of the R&B Wednesday threads. Reduced me to behaving like a teenager again, only the day before i got a copy i had been moaning at my son for playing some terrible tune of his over & over again ! & then i go & stick this one on the deck 6 times on the trot ! Needless to say i recieved an ear bashing from my son ! Superb piece of R&B !!
