Davenpete Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 (edited) What's the two samples/lifts in this? They're bugging the hell out of me - can't find them on the net - specially the main theme which was a big spin I remember at nighters in the early 80s. Dx Edited March 16, 2019 by DaveNPete
Guest Polyvelts Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 no idea, but I'm happy seeing Lizzo even mentioned on SS !! She Fierce !!
Geeselad Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 liked it when first heard, but as with most pastiche's they quickly fade into parody

All I can find on samples is this.
Davenpete Posted March 19, 2019 Author Posted March 19, 2019 Yes I saw that - but obviously that's not the music. Dx
Guest Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 (edited) I've listened to it 5+ times just now and I don't think there are any samples used in the music. I couldn't recognise anything and even if there is I am sure it would be mentioned beneath the Youtube videos by some of the 1000's of viewers that have left comments. There's nothing listed on the Whosampled website entry. Edited March 19, 2019 by Guest
Guest fina Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 I thought I heard Shalamar - A Night to Remember in the background. A little faster though. Anyone else?
RaveDJ Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Sounds a little like a speeded up version of History by Mai Tai, in places. Also agree with the Shalamar comment but less pronounced.
