Guest Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I think more info is needed. Do you know any other lyrics? Maybe from the lead singer?

Daved Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 I quite agree. There's plently on non soul music I like. I think it just demonstrates what Spotify's (and probably other streaiming services) definition of soul is. It's proably determined by a programme of some kind.

I think it just goes to show that the very fact it grabbed your attention proves that you're a genuine lover of the sound of the music we love. Northern soul is an invented concept anyway. You only have to look at some of the artists of very successful northern soul sounds to see that there are no hard and fast rules. It doesn't say anywhere that you have to be a black, relatively unknown, 1960s soul artist to cut a deal on the floors of northern soul clubs. My god, northern soulies were even dancing to a Tony Blackburn cover up at one time!!! Pffft!!

Guest Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 'From now on' is more faux northern soul. Again its a fine pop record that I've heard on a soul radio show. In fact I admit to having played it on Norwich Future Radio.
