Guest chorleybloke Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 This is a massive long shot...I'm trying to ID a record with very little to go on apart from these snippets... 1) It was on John Manship's auction about 12-18 months ago, described as a mega-rare one-off studio acetate 2) I'm pretty sure that Soul Sam played it at Sheridans in August, so maybe it was he who won the auction? 3) Its a full-on traditional NS dancer with ALL the right ingredients. Instant floor-filling material. That's all I can tell you - any clues anyone? Cheers Pete
Gene-r Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Something like "Ten Good Reasons Why I Love You" by any chance?

Can't remember too much about it myself other than that it was thought Sam bought it (think it went for £2,000 +) and was owned by another well-known DJ (retired?), but can't remember who.

Sean Hampsey Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Something like "Ten Good Reasons Why I Love You" by any chance? That one was an uncredited Dick James acetate, Gene. It's actually by Nancy Holloway. I tried letting John M know, but I couldn't remember the title at the time. She had a minor hit with it in France (in French). Sean
