Hi Community,

I'm looking for songs which have a relation to the topics sun/sunshine/california and in between.

It's not  just the title or the lyrics. Could be the sunny sound itself and has not to be just soul music.

Thanks in advance and have nice and sunny weekend.

Best

Martin

My favorite track from this PIR ultra-rare album (opera-rock, gospel-funk,…), "California Woman" by T-Life's group Spiritual Concept:

Spanish lounge great juan carlos Calderón also recorded an instrumental (with female chorus) entitled "Calfornia":

My favorite track on the album by Larry Gold album "Don Cello & Friends", jointly with the one by Jaguar Wright is this "sunny" and fresh one by Kameelah entitled "Travelin'" who says in the lyrics she want to go to California:

AIN'T NO SUN SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE.

It's been recorded by The Dynamics, The Temptations, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and Chuck Jackson. But the best version is by Dusty Springfield from her album Definitely.

Special mention as was a mega - hit here in Spain in the first 70's: "Never Rain in South California" by a pop white artist, Albert Hammond
