I want a fabulous Dancette!

Hi all,  record collection now out of storage after two years, but little room for my technics amp etc...

So I’m looking for a really quality Dancette, a few issues, recent ones are crap, sixties ones are cool but I worry about the stylus and generally picking up expensive 45,s on it... I guess sixties 45 s were throw away so the kit wasn’t much either.,,

any suggestions as to the best one out there, and if you should own one, wanna sell it?

I have some available, the ones I have left are:

1 x Dansette Bermuda MK 1

2 x Dansette Bermuda MK 2

1 x Dansette Monarch

1 x Dansette Popular

1 x Dansette Conquest

All in great condition cosmetically.

They’re a bit of a distance from you (Tenbury Wells in Worcestershire), but if you’re interested let me know and you can come and see them.

Not sure of prices at the moment, (they belonged to my brother) but I’m not looking for silly money for them.

Cheers Andrew, I can get to you quite easily as I’m just outside Newport...

 

so the Bermudas are made by GPO right, so they are up to date, the others all vintage?

They’re all vintage Mal, the Bermuda’s I have date from the late 60’s I reckon.

I understand that they track at 6 grammes too, not sure I’d risk any valuable vinyl to that much pressure mate if I’m honest.
