To order: PM me . Records will be reserved on a strict first come, first served basis.

New postage rates!
No matter how big your order is, 7.- Euro flat unless you want registered postage!

I recomend registration for all orders over 50.- Euro for additional cost of 3.- Euros.

The list is not really sorted, so you find Funk, next to Northern and R&B next to Modern. Prices are in Euro!!!

Grading: Goldmine grading system - M- / VG++/ VG+ / VG / VG- etc.

CAROL MOGAN: I've Got Everything * BORN, VG+, dirt spots on lbl, drill hole, 350.-
Rarest of the rare Chicago Northern Soul. Light marks only, plays great! This is of course Carol Morgan, misspelled on the few copies, that ever surfaced.
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/carolmmoganivegot.mp3

LITTLE RON JOHNSON: I Keep Telling You * HARD TIMES, VG++, water damaged label, 250.- Euro
Current big boys spin and rightly so. Super soulful floater with a superb vibrato-guitar setting the tone. A record, that reminds me of Frank Hutson's immortal "Old Man Me" on Goodie Train. Vinyl is nice and clean, the only downer is the water damaged labels, but hey, it's in the grooves what counts!
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/littleronjohnsonikeep.mp3

WILL CHAPRON & STONED GUMBO: Jealous * MARQUEE, M-, 150.- Euro
Semi known 70's dancer from Las Vegas / Nevada, that never really achieved a wider recognition.
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/willchapronjealous.mp3

MILL EVANS: When I'm Ready * TOU-SEA, promo, M-, 150.- Euro
Brilliant atmospheric Chicago dancer on a New Orleans label in dream like condition.
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/millevanswhenim.mp3

TOP SHELF: Doggone Baby I Love You * SPECTRUM, VG++, wol, 125.- Euro
Northern / Crossover sound from - errrm sorry - the top shelf. A relentless flowing slice of early 70's dance soul and one with more then a little milleage in the grooves. Highly recomended!
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/topshelfdoggone.mp3

MARION ESTER: Victim Of Circumstance * MURCO, M-, 75.- Euro
One of the harder titles on the great Murco label out of Shreveport / Louisiana and what a banger this is. Uncompromising uptempo 60's dance soul of the highest order!
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/marionestervictimof.mp3

BROADWAY EXPRESS: What Love Can Do * I & D, VG++, reversed labels and someone glued the correct tiles on either side with a sticker, 75.- Euro
Great little early 70's Northern Soul oddity, priced double as much usually, so I guess it's a bargain for someone.
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/broadwayexpresswhatlove.mp3

THE RIVER BAND: Midnight Rain * PRIVATE PRESS, VG+, 75.- Euro
Unknown blue eyed funky modern soul record, that could go places with the right DJ behind it.
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/riverbandmidnight.mp3

DEBBIE S.: Try My Love * FLAMING ARROW, M-, 75.- Euro
A Detroit two-step monster, that was comped by Goldmine for their "Essential Mellow Groove" LP from 1992. A handful of copies popped up 2 years ago, but no larger quantities like the Angela Davis on the same label.
soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/debbiestrymylove.mp3

LEE McDONALD: Gotta Get Home / Show Me * DEBBIE, M-, 75.- Euro
1979 stepper of the highest order backed up by excellent slow jam by Lee McDonald. Different to the LP version too!

MAJORIE INGRAM: I Have No Right To Love You / A Good Man Is Hard To Find * BENNETT, VG++, 75.- Euro

soundfile 1: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/majorieingramihave.mp3
soundfile 2: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/majorieingramagood.mp3

BLACK HAZE EXPRESS: Won't Nobody Listen / Pretty Soon * CLINTONE, promo, VG++, 60.- Euro
Sam Dees on lead vocals on this banging funk record with a message. Flip it over for a slower, deeper raw soul gem from the vaults of Clinton Moon's and Sam Dees' essential catalogue.
soundfile 1: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/blackhazewontnobdy.mp3
soundfile 2: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/blackhazeprettyson.mp3

soundfile: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/eljayneedyourlove.mp3

MARIE GLADNESS: Cops And Robbers * BRAND-X, VG/VG-, 50.- Euro

LITTLE SHERMAN & THE MOD SWINGERS: The Price Of Love * ABC, VG++, 40.- Euro
Crossover Soul of the highest order and a nice clean copy with only the lightest handling marks on super heavy vinyl. The flipside, credited to the Soul Invaders, is the instrumental take with a jazzy flute on top. An epic record, as good as it gets, and still affordable.

soundfile 2: https://hamburgcitysoul.com/upload/soulinvaderspriceof.mp3

EDWARD ST. ANN: More Luck To You Baby / Hey! Little Girl * U.S.A., VG++, 40.- Euro
Excellent and rare Chicago two-sider and to the best of my knowledge, the only 45 Mr. St. Ann ever recorded. Both sides are covers: side one is a remake of "Baby, Lot's Of Luck" by the Valentinos on SAR 144 and the flip is a take on "You Know You Gonna Need Me" by the Cherries and The Rhythm Kings on Della Records 1215.
