Denbo Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Does anybody recognise what might be a possible autograph on this Jr. Walker 45rpm release? It might just be a previous owners signature but it also might be an autograph from Jr. Walker or a member of his band.
Amsterdam Russ Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 A quick search on Google images for "Jr Walker autograph" brings up a couple of examples, none of which look like the signature on your 45.
Denbo Posted October 11, 2018 Author Posted October 11, 2018 Thanks Russ, I never thought to do that. I wonder if it could possibly a member of the band's autograph? That said, who were the band members by name I wonder?
Amsterdam Russ Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 I'm sure someone here will be able to be able to provide a comprehensive list of members over the years, or at least point to such a thing. Best I could dig up straight away is Wikipedia... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junior_Walker
Denbo Posted October 11, 2018 Author Posted October 11, 2018 Russ, I used "Jr Walker autograph" to check out images of Jr. Walker autograph images via Google but only came up with that guy off Star Trek, Robert Walker Jr. Have you got a link to those autographs that you found via Google?
Amsterdam Russ Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Two links here... https://www.historyforsale.com/junior-walker-autograph-note-signed-co-signed-by-the-drifters-elsbeary-beary-hobbs/dc285566
The Yank Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 You do have the harder to find version with the label misprint- Jr. Walker and All The Stars instead of Jr. Walker and the All Stars.
