Kenb Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 I've always been intrigued by Barbara Mercer's 'Call On Me'. writer credit McGregor, Terry, McNeil. It's a 1967 release with the Sidra "touch"(musically)-different arrangment and words to the Dynels. But...coincidence is strong.
Kenb Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 oh yes BTW: here's the previous thread on the Dynells line up.

Thanks for that, really useful stuff I have emailed Kenneth Gamble......hopefully he will find time to oblige about the rest of the line up and the label
The Yank Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 I thought these two articles from Cashbox were interesting-
Benji Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 I like the last sentence in the first clip "Next release will probably be from the Dynells". Almost like the owners of the label didn't have that much faith in their enterprise.
