Virginia Blakly – Let nobody love me - Mojo 101 M- £1500 SOLD

 

The scene is deprived of any information about this one hit “Northern” wonder, with only a Betty Willis release accompanying Blakly on this short-lived label.  Oddly co-writer Jackie Avery was heavily involved in writing for other labels in Macon, Georgia around the late 60’s, so his presence on this Mojo outing appears to be a one-off or rare outing to a west coast label.

 

This is a hugely desirable oldie, as rare as it has ever been, with a vinyl condition to die for, mint minus and clean labels, just the minor spindle wear, which I’m obliged to state, but that looks much better in the hand than under light.
