I received on one of my CDs a track by TRADE MARTIN called I DON'T WANT TO LOVE YOU. Is he the same one who wrote/produced for BT Express in the 70s?

No idea, but I don't think there can be many Trade Martins about, in the music business around that time. The LP is from 1972. He also did two LP as ' Gorgoni, Martin & Taylor' A Trade Martin also had 7" releases on RCA and Stallion; 'She put the hurt on me' on Stallion was popular on the Northern scene and got booted to meet the demand.

'I wouldn't do anything (that might hurt you)' is also on the LP, and on the CD swap I sent you.

Trade's been around since the late 50s - he cut vocal 45s for Coed in the early '60s in the style of Dion (in his 'Runaround Sue' years). In the 60s he was a prolific arranger and songwriter - including writing one of the greatest of all 60s soul records, Evie Sands' "Take Me For A Little While" and he was still fairly high profile during the 70s. I believe he's still alive, he'd only be in his early seventies now, tops...
