it is with great sadness that i have to announce the death of my soul friend brian micklewright, better known as pickle,he had been on the scene for over 20 yrs, was everywhere in the 80s,leicester,hinckley, morecambe etc, lived in hinckley for a while then came back to walsall, used to spin like a tasmanian devil and had lots of mates on the scene,he was one of the great characters and is sorely missed,god bless you pickle my friend and may you rest in peace

Allways at keel,and allover the place,didnt really know him too well,went to his house once after a nighter,more sad news,RIP Pikcle.

Hi Jason this is Mark, Andy`s bro, hope you remember me. I am sat in Danmark,tears pouring down my face!I was just thinking about Brian the other day when I joined up. Brian was one of my best mates in the 80`s I fixed that 3 weeler of his a few times Have loads of stories but not just now.

hi mark, i remember u mate, never forget the soul boys, the autopsy was inconclusive mate, couldnt determine cause of death, he was found in his flat on thursday last week,its knocked us all about down here mate, we saw him regulary, he was our friend and we miss him terribly, funeral is on the 18th but dont no exactly where yet, more details when i get em, dont no how to pm people since this upgrade ! keep the faith mate,r.i.p. pickle

Another sad loss from the West Midlands, i have fond memories of many nights with Pickle & others from Walsall (Daz,Rod,Stevie,Kenny,Bratty, etc) especially at the Oddfellows & Stafford.Another space on the dance floor.

Just wanted to add our heartfelt sympathy to all of Pickles family and friends. Craig and Jenny let me know the sad news and was truly saddend to hear of the loss of one of the scenes characters, As has been said in the 80's Pickle, along with Rod, Mad Mick, Craig, Del, all the Letchworth Firm went eveywhere together. Morecombe, Leciester and just about anywhere you care to mention. I shall have fond happy memories of the Tazmanian Devil spinning wildly out of control and sending at least 4 of us flying on a regular basis. I'll be raising a glass to him later this evening.

Nice one Craig Just got home from work (dj) and saw the photo of Pick and Panda So many fu**ing great memories

I even played Curtis Mayfield (move on up) for him tonight, the danes had no idea what is was or why I did it but fu*k em, I knew and so did Bri !

I know I`ve not seen him for years but I will miss him. Know the feeling ?

Wow... just seen this... very sad news... a real character for sure!

real sad news knew pickles well from the 80's like been said already a real character my sister yvonne used to take loads of photo's back then and pickles was on quiet a few got most of them in my archive at home .may you rest in peace mate great loss to the scene :thumbsup:

Just spotted this and it is truly sad news. Knew Pickle well "back in the day" and he will be sadly missed.

Without people like him, there would have been no "scene".
