Kenb Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Please: Does anyone know anything about this Arlen release? Side One ‘Hey Girl... Side Two ‘Silly Little Girl’. (N.B. I’m not looking for a review of the songs or the other label release like Sounds South, ABC-Paramount, etc, which i have) ta ATB
The Yank Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 (edited) Definitely bogus- Arlen went bust in 1964 so there's no way there would have been a stereo release on this single. Also, seems strange they took 2 separate ABC releases (#10573 and #10601) and had them on 1 45 on Arlen. The title and group type face also look more modern than what's used on other Arlen 45's. Benji Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Why should they have had any sales in Germany? Probe/ABC issued it over here in 71 to tie in with the UK reissue. And it didn't sell well. Obviously, because it's a boring record.
