Please: Does anyone know anything about this Arlen release? Side One ‘Hey Girl... Side Two ‘Silly Little Girl’.

(N.B. I’m not looking for a review of the songs or the other label release like Sounds South, ABC-Paramount, etc, which i have)

Definitely bogus- Arlen went bust in 1964 so there's no way there would have been a stereo release on this  single.

Also, seems strange they took 2 separate ABC releases (#10573 and #10601) and had them on 1 45 on Arlen.

The title and group type face  also look more modern than what's used on other Arlen 45's.

Guess it was made for the US beach music crowd.

Probably.  But, I bet they got a fair amount of Belgian, French and German sales, as well.  Maybe a couple UK NS. too.

Why should they have had any sales in Germany? Probe/ABC issued it over here in 71 to tie in with the UK reissue. And it didn't sell well. Obviously, because it's a boring record.
