What an awesome 2 hours of sublime pure soul music, we knew this show was gonna be special after hearing Niki's set at 3 Greyhounds Dayer last year and we were right.

Tune after Tune of our type of soul in the Mid-Tempo Chill Out style including one of our absolute favourites Clyde McPhatter (Thanks to Bully for introducing us to that one)

Well done Niki and Neil and thanks again Shaun for another superb show.

Cheers

Well, that was pretty great this morning - tune after tune after tune!

There were far too many belters to list but the Rare Gems Odyssey and James Dee were new to me and have been added to the ever-growing wants list.....

Here are the download links for today's show. I've had to use ZShare as MegaUpload appears to be on the fritz today - hopefully these will work fine, but as normal if there are any problems, please let me know and I'll try to help

Yes another great show, not a bad track played

By the way... tell Neil that the Freddie Hughes track he played, isn't only on issues no.gif

I have it on a white promo & I'm sure there's others around!

Great record though nonetheless

Ian, thanks for that! And the good news is that *Steve Plumb* will be back as part of a NW "Sunday Soul Selection" special, to be presented by Sean O'Connor.

Steve will be layin' down one of his famous Soul Essence LP only tracks sets, especially for the radio show. These sets are always extremely well received at Essence!

John, hope all is very well & thanks for the info. Mines the "white label demo". Therefore, it's a relief not to have to spend money hunting for an issue. So thanks for that.

best, Shaun.

Afternoon all.

Great show today, as ever, sounded really fresh and the unissued CD tracks were tremendous, especially Ty Karim, which I hadn't heard before (must get one of those CDs....)

The 'Sofa Soul' section was tremendous with Mary Mundy, John Gary Williams and The Unifics standing our for me.

However, I thought the track of the show was James Gadson - superb!

Here are the download links. I've started using zShare for these as MegaUpload appears to be intermittently on the fritz. If there are any issues, let me know and I'll try to help.

says it all really, every tune a winner . Fantastic show Shaun even the Sofa Soul (not a sofa soul fan, but could be converting after this show) . Good luck to Bob for next weeks show, after this weeks show he might have to a bit of extra crate digging lol
