Guest Nick Harrison Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 (edited) Sounding the business right now - thanks Gavin for the first hour.....well great to hear Phillip James, Jerry Washington, Sister Love, the pick out track - Sunday Afternoon - Dennis Lee. Mind and Matter the modern soul room old monster "Under Your Spell", Vibrations still doing the rounds and sounding still as fresh and that Gene Chandler..........keep um coming. I do know it is all about the appreciation of our music - but when certain jocks play records, you do aquire a greater appreciation for the music......it seems to reach a higher level. A real bench marker of a show this morning. Thanks Nick. Edited November 24, 2008 by Nick Harrison

Guest Zane10 Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 It's difficult to know what to say about today's show - other than just superb! There were so many fabulous tracks like The Tams and The Paragons, plus a whole bunch of other stuff, which I've tried to categorise as follows: Things I didn't know but would like to own but will probably never will: Robert Montgomery Tony Lampkin Aura Things I've been looking for for years and will never get them plus would never be able to afford them: Psychodelic Frankie Wes Lewis Samson & Delilah with the Boss Four Ella Woods 2001: Black Essence I guess the only one out of the list I'll ever manage to get is the reissue of Natural Essence.....maybe Majik, which I really liked. Here's the download links for today's show - I suspect this will be another popular one! As normal, if anybody encounters problems downloading, let me know and I'll see what I can do to help. https://SRSSS07Dec08fullshow.notlong.com https://SRSSS07Dec08inparts.notlong.com All the best, Zane
