Guest Zane10 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 What a great show today, notwithstanding the technical hitch I was hooked from early on but particularly enjoyed the mellow tracks - Willie Hutch, White Family Band (absolutely stunning), Tomorrow's Promise (a firm favourite since being introduced to it by Paul Thrower - thanks Paul) and Nat Turner Rebellion. Also enjoyed the "Can't Let You Go" trio of Philip Mitchell, Billy Perry and Bernie Moore. What a surprise the Gloria Gaynor track was - superb! Here are the download links on Megaupload. I've tagged the files with a pic of Bob, which should show up on Media Players As usual, if there are problems accessing the files, please let me know https://SRSSS14Dec08fullshow.notlong.com https://SRSSS14Dec08inparts.notlong.com All the best, Zane

Guest Zane10 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Another splendid show today - a nice warm-up for Christmas My favourites today included Phylis Hyman, The Temprees, Jackie Ross, Melvin Davis, Betty Wright, Milt Matthews, Goodie, The Allnight Band (nice tip from PJ) and Arthur Conley - I am aware that that's nearly the whole playlist! I keep saying this but I think the Sunday Soul Selection has gone from strength to strength this year. Shaun and Bob's shows on their own have been tremendous and the guests have played some wonderful sets. It's a testament to the quality of the show and the audience that the well known DJs seem to be queuing up to appear. Shaun's asked Fiona and me to come down in a few weeks so that'll bring the quality down, ha ha ha! Here are the download links for today's show on MegaUpload. As normal, if anybody encounters a problem downloading, let me know and I'll try to assist. https://SRSSS21Dec08fullshow.notlong.com https://SRSSS21Dec08inparts.notlong.com Merry Christmas to all the Sunday Soul Selection listeners. Guest Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Well, its about time that I made an effort to comment on a show and say hello. I listen a lot and enjoy the show, although I am no expert by any means I am becoming more and more hooked on the music and have been listening where I can. Sundays show (half way through) it was excellent and have I have listened to the first half twice now, although I must admit I couldnt resist hitting the fast forward button to see what gems would be next. Some may say that I am biased being Zane's younger brother, but I believe that the music shines on through. Thanks to Shaun and all... keep it up!!!
