U can visit www.essentialmodernsoul.co.nr (Sunday Soul Selection Playlist thread) for a lot more info. regarding all the shows ... Very best wishes, Shaun. Zane Mike Lofthouse's Fan Club Member Posts: 20 Registered: Jun 2006Posted 7th January 2007 08:03 PM IP Hello people. what a nice show today, which I recorded - Jason did a good job, can't believe it's his first time! I had to be out so wasn't there to "babysit" the recording. If you remember me saying before, every once in a while my recorder goes wonky and needs to be manually retuned. So today, it looks like it ran for about 45 minutes perfectly and thereafter, well, you can hear the show and still enjoy to a certain extent, but it sounds like everything is jumping - not so pretty but you can still hear it. It seemed to correct itself after a while and so I have chopped the file into three parts and I've upped the links for these for people to take. https://download.yousendit.com/4C0C8DCA6A2F7F9D Part 1 https://download.yousendit.com/BBDDF1893385555B Part 2 (the jumpy bit) https://download.yousendit.com/71117D5F61AFBF6B Part 3 When I get the time (maybe later tonight), I'll up a link for good versions of the jumpy tracks, in case people want them. That''ll be Ester Byrde - Touch me, take me (45) Ellena Mills - How can I love you when your loving him (LP track) Debbie Taylor - Touching you (LP track) Towana & Total Destruction - Wear your natural baby (45) Dee Dee Warwicke - Funny how we change places (45) Linda Jones - I'm so glad I found you (45) Virgil Henry - You ain't saying nothing new (45) Frankie Gearing - Spinning top (45) Ace Spectrum - If you were there (LP track) Norman Connors - I don't need nobody else (LP track) Let me know if there will be any interested takers, please? The Touch Me Take Me track Jason mentioned by Ester Byrde, he asked about another version - I have versions by Sexy TKO and Rita Wright, both very nice also. Cheers to all from a very wet Edinburgh.

For 2 x years I visited the Lyme Regis Jazz Festival, on the Dorset South Coast ... and loved it ... ! During the Sunny days I wandered to various bars ... down windy streets ... listening to different jocks doing their thing ... each bar different ... intimate, buzzing & electric atmosphere ... everyone happy, friendly and welcoming ... it became very additive ... I'd first stumbled on this w/e activity by chance ... where various bars were laying on Jazz music for the enjoyment of the masses ... and it does work ... it sucked in myself and most of the day-trippers ... Fast forward to Morecambe/Wigan ... we are trying to recreate this atmosphere and unique experience by laying on a similar Soul Festival of sorts in the NW of England ... the birth of Northern & Modern Soul ... An allsortment of Jocks (an inviting cocktail of the established plus some new fresh faces) will cover the whole spectrum of our beloved Modern Soul scene from the 70s right thro' to the present day ... why not be part of this amazing experience ... and meet loads of smiling faces ... FREE ENTRY AT ALL MORECAMBE VENUES ... best Shaun.

New Website flyer and programme details now at following web address: https://www.seasidesoul.co.uk/soulfestival.htm - hope some of you can make it ... For 2 x years I visited the Lyme Regis Jazz Festival, on the Dorset South Coast ... and loved it ... ! I wasn't even into Jazz music at the time ... however I and many tourists like me were swept along with the atmosphere of the w/e festival ... An allsortment of Jocks (an inviting cocktail of the established plus some new fresh faces) will cover the whole spectrum of our beloved Crossover/Modern Soul scene from the late 60s, 70s right thro' to the present day ... why not be part of this amazing experience ... and meet loads of smiling faces ...
