Thought I'd better introduce myself seeing as it's 2 years since I've been on here now.

I was on here regularly early 2000's under the username Stamford but couldn't access my old account

Got into soul like a lot of others via youth clubs, mod revival & the scooter scene. Dipped in an out over the years and sold up in 2008. Started collecting again 3 years ago, definitely wrong time to start if you want to buy back what you once had, but there's plenty I don't know at an affordable price so no complaints. Plenty of old names on here from before and I'm enjoying browsing all the 'new to me' topics.

If you're ever in the area I'd recommend a visit to 45 revolutions at Sudden social club, Rochdale. Billed as rare & underplayed it definitely ticks a box for me.

Thanks...Paul Adams

A new topic set up for new (or even longtime ) members to post up a Soul Source intro

Nothing major needed, just a quick heads up to all our members, letting them know that you are on here and ideally a brief bit about yourself.

It's a great way to break the ice!

Hi I’m Andy

Been into rare soul since I was 13.
All-nighters are my thing especially the 100club 6ts niters

Hi all... I am a semi retired DJ who can't retire from record collecting. I'm interested in funk, soul, latin, northern, mainly 50-70s. I've heard a bit about the site over the years so thought I would give it a go. Nice to be here finally!

Hello Soul Scene!

The Tynesider is a brand-new bar on Gateshead High Street, run by a local lad and me, his partner. We’re passionate about creating a vibrant community space where people can come together, enjoy great drinks, and, of course, fantastic music.

As a DJ, I love playing the music I grew up on, my parents were mods in the 60’s and massive Northern Soul fans and it was during a family party at the bar that the Tynesider Soul Club was born. The reaction was great, with customers asking for more and encouraging us to share our events on Soul Scene—so here we are!

The Tynesider Soul Club is all about celebrating the timeless sounds of northern soul & classic soul in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We’re just starting out, but we’re excited to grow and connect with the Northern Soul community. If you’re in Gateshead, we’d love to see you at one of our events, we run Tynesider Soul Club monthly on a Sunday.

Thanks for having us on here!

Best wishes,

Lu & The Tynesider Team
