For a radio show that’s been described as ..’ if John Peel did soul music with the narration of ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris of ‘The Old Grey Whistle Test ’ it’s perhaps appropriate in this selection from Mays’ weekly Hospedia Radio shows  there’s a Sex Pistols connection with a 45 from drummer Paul Cook’s daughter (Hollie Cook) and, unusually, a bit of soul (ft. The Blackberries on backing vocals ) from Captain Beefheart   – one of John Peels’ all time favourite artists. In addition there’s 7ts soul,  x-over, LP tracks , rarer soul, new/recent  releases , 6ts RnB,  Rocksteady  and ‘Northern’.
