Godzilla
Hi everyone I'm in the planning stages of starting a records based weblog. It will feature soul and funk 45s, maybe a bit of garage (60s that is!) and 45s that were put out to advertise stuff. I have a few of these already: Manfred Mann's Ski Yoghurt and Michelin themes, a Bush stereo hi-fi 45 (The Big Bush Sound!) and flexis advertising Raleigh Bikes and Cherry B etc. Quite a bit of old tosh like that in fact, and I'd like some more. I realise this is chiefly a soul forum but i know what record collectors are like and I bet I'm not the only one who can't leave a "Welcome To Your Hasboro Mercury Spacecraft Model" 45 in the charity shop. I'm not aiming to become a specialist in this area, it's just a bit of fun, so I'm not going to be paying daft amounts of cash for your Tetley Bittermen flexi If you would like a nominal payment plus postage and would like to see it go to a good home though - I'm your man. Lets see what the Sourcers can do Many thanks Godz ps - there's an old guy in town who gave me a tape of his John Collier "Saturday Night Suit" 45 but won't let me have it so I'd really like one of those to p*ss him off Link to comment Social source share
pikeys dog
I'm pretty sure I've got an 'Action Man' by Palitoy 45 you can have... Also got the Smiths Crisps "The Crunch" flexi somewhere. I'll have a dig around and get back to you Link to comment Social source share

Blake H
I once found some flexi discs in a junk shop that came free with a "gentlemans" magazine (Rapier I think) I slid them into the sleeve of a 50p lp, tut tut , as they are not advertising anything you wont be intrested BH (yes I stole them ) Link to comment Social source share

Have some very tasty and extremely rare and great looking Coca Cola sevens issued Down Under eg Supremes Shirelles Ray Charles Little Milton sevens etc ... some with real Northern appeal especially Little Milton's , he re-recorded the backing track to his We're Gonna Make It hit with him instead singing lyrics extolling the virtues of Coke: "Thing's Go Better With Coke ..." !!!! Thing is , the re-recorded backing is much more bouncy and up tempo than the original , so it's a Norther dancer's delight !!! Feel free to PM me if you're interested in more of this stuff , although I guess you want to buy, right ? (To be honest don't know if I want to sell...I may be interested in trading mebbee?) Cheers! I'd love some scans and MP3s if you have time. You can email them to me at mistergodzilla @ Yahoo.com (remove the gaps). Don't think I really have anything to trade. As I said earlier I'm happy to buy but I'm not obsessed enough to spend much. Just want to have a bit of fun with them. Thanks to everyone who has responded so far. I knew there would be fellow nutters on here Godz Link to comment Social source share
