Guest Lady Maverick Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 (edited) A friend of mine asked me this question, but I couldn't quite answer it. All I was able to say was that they just had to be there or go to an event to experience it like I did. Was that the right answer or is there something more? Edited December 1, 2006 by Lady Maverick

John Al Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 so it must be a distant relation to the Dover sole then' Plenty of soul down here mate - hey, think I just got my own musical genre!! Back on topic. Northern Soul is a journalistic and marketing term used to describe the style of music played predominently in northern clubs in the 70's and 80's. SOUL on the other hand is a musical style (or "genre" for the pretentious) ......and I love it. See, I don't always ignore you! John
