I Dj,d at one a few weeks ago in Hyde and played a few myself that I thought they would like and should know

Bunny Sigler - Will you still love me tomorrow - Decca

Gene Latter - Little piece of leather - CBS

James Carr - Losing Game - Stateside

Ray Whitley - I`ve Been Hurt - Dunhill

Fantastic Johnny C - Some kind of wonderful - Phil LA of soul

Spiral Starecase - She`s Ready - Columbia

Willie Mitchell - Percolatin - Hi

and my missus says this next one should be played a lot more

Flash & The Board of Directors - Busy Signal - Bell

so a few alternatives and reactivations there I think (that you dont hear much , if at all)

Ste. Just think how many times we all could have a reaction like this if some DJ's could only look outside 'their' box.

If we're going with the Kittens I'll go for ' How long (can I go on) with the gritty flipside 'I've got to get over you'. Also for the Carltons ' Keep on Hoping' and 'I'm a man' are rather spiffing little ditties !

My lass wants this posting here! She says this is a good oldie to get the girls up dancing in this theoretical scenario! Myself, the girlie dancers are my favourite records, and I love this one as much as the next girl, soul records like this really bring out my feminine side! Love 'em!

The Ambers - Another Love

Top drawer tune, top drawer group. This, "I love you baby" and "Potion of love" would grace any soul night.

i never seem to hear this anywhere anymore. Maybe because it's not rare or expensive? Pure, unadulterated Northern tune. Ticks every single box. Used to make the floor explode when played at the Casino in 74, and still one of my favourites to this day. On a par with Bunny Sigler "Follow your heart" as a 100% pure example of what a real Northern tune should sound like.

it ain't a cheapie, £200+

nice record, play it at home but it maybe isn't r&b/rock and roll enough for today's scene??
