Suinoz Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Hi, Anyone please have the going rate for an ORIGINAL Don Varner, Tear Stained Face on Quinvy, and availability. I see there are plenty of second issues and outa sight repros for sale but would prefer the original. Thanks in advance, Sue.

Dylan Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 650gbp at todays ER which seems very reasonable to me considering how good it is. i think plenty of collectors would happily match that price.
Zoomsoulblue Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 (edited) Great B side - basically £325 for each side bargain Classic oldie “Tear Stained Face” by Don Varner coupled with the original flip side “Mojo Mama” originally titled “32 Miles From Waycross”. When Edwin Starr’s “25 Miles” was later issued it was considered so similar that the writers Jerry Wexler and Bert Berns were given joint credits. Edited March 11, 2018 by ZoomSoulBlue Add info 1

Are you saying Wexler & Berns were given writing credits on 25 Miles? Really ? What's the source of your information ? Last time I looked, the composers of 25 Miles remain credited as Johnny Bristol / Harvey Fuqua / Edwin Starr ...
