Anyone else seen the sky arts programme about ' disco' recorded it other  week and decided to watch it the other day ... went through the usual disco drivel when a clip come up with Herb Reed (of the Platters) 'disco inferno '.... the group has live backing band etc .... I thought 'hell lead singer is good'... then it came up on the bottom of the screen the lead singer is Charles Johnson.....just wondering if this is THE Charles Johnson of Alston fame... he sounds like he could be to my ears...I hope it is him as I've often wondered what he looked like... wonder if hrs still alive?... the clip is on YouTube too if anybody can post the link up... I don't know how to...apologies in advance if this has been discussed before but I couldn' find owt....

Difficult to find anything on this particular Charles Johnson. According to allmusic.com he started his own production company and record label "Funkcave" in the 90s, and there have been a few releases by younger performers, including this:

Just come across the post. I was also blown away by the Disco Inferno performance (despite thinking the song was drivel) - is the Charles Johnson lead THEE Charles Johnson of  Good Good Lovin'?
