Jaco Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 JM has it booked at £1200 for the issue on Lime and £600 for the United Artist version

Cheers Paul Paul - sorry the genie is already out of the bottle - produced on 2 different labels Lime @ £1,200 and United Artists @ £600. However you can pick up the legitimately licensed Grapevine 2000 release of it for a mere tenner. 'What Price' has the same backing track as the Jones Brothers 'Good Old Days' on the Avi label (which I think is equally soulful) @ £100. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/sounds/exists...e=GOOD_OLD_DAYS I don't know who Nathan Williams is, but his voice has some similarities to the lead singer's voice on the Jones Bros track - maybe a coincidence? Hope this helps. Brian

Guest Tommy Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Think you'll find the UA release to be a touch rarer than the Lime, altough it's the second release. However, i don't think there is much price difference between the two. The a-side "Reaching higher" isnt bad either. The UA demo's have not got "What price" on the b-side. There a double sided a-side. You could get one of them for around 50 quid. As Brian said the Jones Brothers on AVI is a great version. Also came out on British (Pye?). Tommy.
Marc Forrest Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 ...tell you what, I do prefer the Jones Brothers...
