Guest vinylvixen Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 (edited) Cut and paste the following post from Brian Proust via Raresoulforum.... This news is actually a bit old now, but I only just got some of the details I wanted to put out there about this, so sorry for the delay. Barbara Hall, who had recorded amazing 45s for Tuska and Innovation II, died on 11/3 of Kidney failure related to diabetes, which Barbara had been struggling with for some time. Barbara's sister, acclaimed Atlanta Blues artist Sandra Hall, has announced that there will be a celebration for Barbara "The Queen" Hall on December 10 at the Libra Lounge on Gresham Road in Atlanta. The celebration will feature many of Atlanta's old guard of R&B talent including Sandra, Herman Hitson, Freddie Terrell, and many others TBA. The show will begin at 7:30 and there will be a $5 door charge which will go directly towards a fund to purchase Barbara Hall's head stone. If you are not able to attend, but would like to contribute towards Barbara's head stone, contributions can be sent directly to Sandra. Her address: Sandra Hall PO Box 361320 Decatur GA 30036-1320 Best, Brian Poust -------------------- Brian Poust https://georgiasoul.blogspot.com It comes to something when a headstone can't be bought through lack of funds.... I've always rated 'You brought it on yourself' - if anyone can load up a clip, that would be smashing.... Jo Edited November 21, 2006 by vinylvixen
