Guest James Trouble
I can't live without Jerry Hall - Can I Run To You (the version with the good drums)and I would be willing to pay more than market price to get it. So if anybody out there has a copy and would like to sell I'm here waiting.... Pete S
It's Gerri Hall - Who can I run to...I once had both versions of this at the same time, I don't think you can tell the difference til you play them. It just came out on Grapevine though so that'll do me for a tenner Link to comment Social source share
Guest
I think it's Gerri Hall? The better version is indeed better. It is strange how this record sounds as if it was swaying due to being played very off center. Last copy I saw went for £600, which is quite a lot IMO. Guest James Trouble
That's the one. My ability to remember names continues to elude me. I'd be more than happy to £600 for the better version. So if anybody has a copy, and thinks that is too much money, I'm here waiting for the email... Link to comment Social source share

I suppose it was not in vogue at the time, I think it sounds much better now than in those days! Although I didn't know the drum start version then! Rushden Vic
ive got the drum start with backing vocal version and apart from a nashville matrix stamp it reads 174-1719 scratched in the run out groove and a 86 nearer to the matrix stamp. the I LOST THE KEY side is the same but number reads 174-1720 . these 7 figure numbers are also printed on the label Link to comment Social source share

Jonko
Yeah, mine is without the drumrole. That is weird as it has like double vocal on it. Think I prefer the one without. HOw much is this worth these days? Link to comment Social source share

HOw much is this worth these days? I couldn't tell you, honestly, if you go back through this thread look at the arguments that were going on 10 years ago...was probably cos I'd had a couple of copies recently and sold them several hundred quid cheaper than had been mentioned. I'd try £800 quid if I were you, I'd probably ask and get that I think. Link to comment Social source share

Quinvy
Right at the start - drum roll - like this one This is the one to own, you won't get anywhere near the same price for the other one. Edited January 10, 2014 by Quinvy Link to comment Social source share
Dobber
One without the drum roll is better Defo pete, the version without the drum roll and one vocal take is miles better, that double vocal on the other take ruins the song,I wouldn't bother with that one, anyway I don't know which one is rarer or more valuable? 1 Link to comment Social source share
