just saw a event with the message 'no politics' highlighted as part of the promotion blurb

here in 2017 would anyone out there  like to take some time and  expand on what the reason/thinking on  adding such is...

as in does it actually mean anything today or is it just some sort of easy life 'cop out' ?

Never understand when people put this up the whole point is its a retro scene played on original vinyl usa or British or any other nation that made records in the sixties /seventies  or acetates ect  .if I see this on a flyer I tend not to go not keen on places with an attitude by putting this on they are inviting people to question the honesty of the DJs & the promoter that yes" we play northern soul but don't moan if its a pressing or a cd or vinyl cut or is we will play the most expensive & rare records on bootlegs  & we don't give a shit what you think ? or do the mean no political discussion whether labour or conservative or lib dem orThe monster raving looney party ? please explain the promoter that write this on their adverts .:wink: its just soooo confusing
