I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but there is a film called Half Past Dead on Channel Five at the moment featuring one 'Morris Chestnut'.

I take it that it's not the man of 'Too Darn Soulful' fame???

Nope! This guy has been in about 20 or so films - nothing spectacular and by the way he was born in 1969, so definitely not around to record "Too darn soulful"

Definatley not morris chestnut,i met him 2 years ago in la and asked him about his fil m career and he pissed himself.Have been told by john poole that morris is definatley apearing at this years prestatyn .

Not him, as has been mentioned elsewhere - but the Ernie Lee Banks who occasionally turns up in US drama shows is definitely the "Are You Ready To Be Loved" man, and 'Ron' Canada who also turns up in US dramas, usually playing judges, is modern soul man Roney Canada of "I Can't Stand It" fame"!
