This might be common knowledge but I don't know it... who's the lead voice on Rare Pleasure's 'Let me Down Easy' ? Are there any other tracks by the group?

Can't seem to find anything really about the group - A studio creation of David Jordan ( Who wrote / produced it ). I can only assume it is a anonymous session singer? Tho this does have a habit of being someone who rare soul fans know. Good tune tho - Been selling at silly prices recently.

That is only record by them, right?!

I know there's a fine version of Let Me Down Easy by First Choice though.

What's the one on the Kent LP?

Rare Pleasure apparently were:-

Tony "Silky T" Allen, Jim Paye, Reginald Crutcher, Ivan "Mico Lewis" Groves, Sonny Kilabrew ,Ron Bailey, Mitch Kinney

Think one went on Ebay for about £60.. Seen a few go through at £30/40. But I would think £15/20 would be about right.

Well Mike, unless 'Silky' Allen was called 'Silky' cos he sounded like a girl I reckon it's a different group ! :D

I'm a big fan of Rochelle Flemings voice.

But the name of lead voice on the Rare Pleasure version must be documented somewhere?

Hi Simon, is it a LP only track or does it exist on a 7" or 12"?

Cheers, Marco

I think it's album only Marco. Sounds better than I remembered it too.

Thanks for posting these 2 tracks, really liked them. Only thing I've got against them is that I'd start dancing and after 3 and a half minutes might have to be carried off the dance floor.

Seriously though very good indeed.
