Guest Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 This might be common knowledge but I don't know it... who's the lead voice on Rare Pleasure's 'Let me Down Easy' ? Are there any other tracks by the group?
Guest Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Obviously the knowledge is not that common then !
Them Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 That is only record by them, right?! I know there's a fine version of Let Me Down Easy by First Choice though.

Harrogatesoul Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Can't seem to find anything really about the group - A studio creation of David Jordan ( Who wrote / produced it ). I can only assume it is a anonymous session singer? Tho this does have a habit of being someone who rare soul fans know. Good tune tho - Been selling at silly prices recently. Rich

Guest lifeandsoul Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Rare Pleasure apparently were:- Tony "Silky T" Allen, Jim Paye, Reginald Crutcher, Ivan "Mico Lewis" Groves, Sonny Kilabrew ,Ron Bailey, Mitch Kinney
Harrogatesoul Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 The last silly price i saw was £12 on Gemm last year........ cum on, make me happy! Think one went on Ebay for about £60.. Seen a few go through at £30/40. But I would think £15/20 would be about right. Rich

I'm a big fan of Rochelle Flemings voice. But the name of lead voice on the Rare Pleasure version must be documented somewhere? Edited November 16, 2006 by Simon White

Geoff Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Thanks for posting these 2 tracks, really liked them. Only thing I've got against them is that I'd start dancing and after 3 and a half minutes might have to be carried off the dance floor. Seriously though very good indeed.
