Dave Moore Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 It's with a sad heart that I have to pass on that Mr Johnny Stiles, the guy who was one third of The Harthon Trio has passed away. With Luther Randolph in a hospice the end of an era is approaching. I'm so glad that he and Luther saw The Philly Book and enjoyed it so much. As is usual in my world at these times I will not focus on the sad passing of a man whose music touched us and whose appearance at the 3rd Hitsville Weekender left us with a raft of wonderful memories. I'll raise a glass to the legacy of his musical life and play a few 45s that proudly bear his name. Sleep well Johnny and our most heartfelt congratulations Sir on a job well done! - Dave 2
