Citizen P Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Used to collect Ronnie Walker's stuff, got the above on Gala but never seen it about much, anybody know owt. Ta Tony
Citizen P Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 Hmmm no info yet ,it must be rarer than I thought. The only reason I'm asking is that I've just seen it on Manship's Rarest of the Rare section which gobsmacked me as I never thought that it was all that. Eee, every day another suprise Tony
Citizen P Posted December 1, 2004 Author Posted December 1, 2004 Don't usually draw a blank from here. However 1 last try. Ronnie Walker--Now There Is You--Gala P-5202. Any info on rarity, value etc. because as I said can't believe it's listed in Manships Rarest of the Rare. Cheers Tony

LittleAv Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I love this tune Tony - I've got a copy on Gala too but I've never heard anyone else play it out or seen it on a sales list. (Y)
Ian Dewhirst Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Wow! Tremendous record. Would have thought this was a dead cert to be played at some time. Ian D 1
Md Records Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 The copy in the "You Tube" clip is the previously unissued cut that Ronnie put out a couple of years ago. From what I gather - After Ronnie parted company with producer Phil Gaber to work with Vince Montana, Phil put out the Gala side without Ronnie's knowledge, but only pressed up a couple of hundred copies - hence it's scarcity Des

Still Diggin Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 The flip side 'In search of love' is imo is one of the finest single artist falsetto deep soul records of all time, and has been highly regarded by japanese collectors for years. Over here most are unable to appreciate that, but then it has allways been that way. As for the other side, well it would be a great theme tune for a racing chanel on sky! The 'over the top' production is only saved by Mr walkers great voice. It's been knocking around for years. I did play 'now there is you' out at some local gig back in the eighties and realized it was a mistake.
