(Just the most infectious tune, phenomenal sax break, my favourite from them along with “You’ve been cheatin”, sold both in demo format for £75 each, well over 5 years ago, and the demos aren’t getting any easier)

(Fantastic oldie, name on label, innocuous to look at)

 

Marvin Smith – Love ain’t nothin’ but pain – Brunswick 55314 M- £25

(Stunning dancer, lives in the shadow of his other outing’s, but worth a punt)

 

Ruby Winters – Just like a Yo-Yo – Diamond 255 M- £25

(I remember listening to this on a Charly tape way back, brilliant then but it sounds so much better today, top notch)

 

Four Tops – I can’t help myself – Motown 1076 WD M- £25

(One of many signature tunes, single sided demo)

 

Bobby Fuller Four – The Magic touch – Mustang 3018 M- £35

(Same as Melba Moore, cool version)

 

Marvelettes – Danger heartbreak dead ahead – Tamla 54120 WD M- £30

(One of their numerous hits, superb and on a twin globe demo, X on off white label, vinyl spot on, “Cheating ways” on flip)

 

Spinners – Sundown – VIP 25050 M- £15 dh SOLD

(Not sure who was the lead in 68, but he sure sounds similar to “what more can a boy ask for” and “sweet thing”, pure class headline act written all over them.  Feel good Motown dancer)
