Interesting doc this, seen it a few times now and while some of it is excellent i.e. contributions from Searling, Levine, Curtis, etc, other things irritate, like the long section with everyone explaining how Four Tops 'Can't help myself' was the blueprint for the northern sound while the clip they use of the song is of the Four Tops live on TV with some laughable  TV orchestra version playing rather than the actual 45 - casual viewers must wonder what they've tuned into

Also Norman Jay saying the records played were little more than demos, which makes you wonder which records he is talking about. And Pete Waterman saying all the tunes had the same 'bang bang bang bang' beat with no deviation or swing

Some good clips and photos though from the Wheel etc
