Can anybody help me out with a copy of Della Reese

It Was a Very Good Year / Solitary Woman - HMV POP 1533 (UK)

or

It Was a Very Good Year / Solitary Woman - ABC 10841 (US)

Or even (If it's the same recording!)

It Was a Very Good Year / I Had to Know My Way Around - Stateside SS 2128 (UK)

Thanks in advance guys and gals

the stateside issue is a different recording I think. Live I think and not as good

Isn't the HMV / ABC recording taken from a live album Mik? I'm sure it sounded like a club recording with an organ trio backing or something like.

I'm not 100% but I think that the Stateside one is taken off the live LP. The HMV / ABC / Sparton issue is a different studio recording of the track with the same band (the Bobby Bryant quintet) and doesn't appear on an LP. I'm sure it's the ABC / HMV one that you want.

Cheers for the info, Mik  Would like to hear the live cut out of curiosity.

Now, anyone on here able to help out with an HMV / ABC / Sparton copy?

Your in for a suprise cause the flip is as good.. Mal.

Oh Yes, been after this one for a few years without trying to hard (obviously).

My DJ partner David Hulston used to drop "Solitary Woman" at our new release/rare groove night back in the 90s. Strange choice, given the nature of this awesome moody and mean 60s left fielder, but always worked for me.

So if anyones got a spare, let me know. It does'nt seem easy to obtain.

Regards Alan
