Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 (edited) ..On Sunday I picked up a Bobby Day "Pretty Little Girl Next Door" on US RCA for a fiver (which is probably about what it's worth, musically!) and Arthur Conley's terrific version of "Keep On Talking" on French Atco for two quid - complete with pic sleeve - both from a rock 'n' roll dealer who probably felt he got the best of the deal! Where was it played in UK ? on any soul / dance circuit,.....only in that thur london ? or did it make the provinces. sorry if this is a stupid question but I never knew the tune until the West End reissue last year or two.

I think it's from 75 actually. A fantastic song and the flip is also a great gay-song but more funky. Don't know where it first was played but The Mecca and Levine sounds likely. EDIT: Sorry but I was talking about the version by Valentino but Carl Bean is great too! Edited December 2, 2006 by Bjorn78

John Benson Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Think I've only ever seen green demos of this Ken. Anyone got/seen a Blue Motown issue? Sean On the other hand (see King diamond Thread) I can't tell Blue from Green! Sean, I've had a look and it seems that it's the same as you said - a Green Demo, not a blue issue But I did come across 2 copies of 21st Creation "Tailgate" UK demos - one Green and one Blue, maybe that's what I was thinking of? So the question still stands - did the Carl Bean UK Motown 45 ever get issued?

So the question still stands - did the Carl Bean UK Motown 45 ever get issued? Well, certainly seems to be more Green uns than Blue Uns! I wouldn't be surprised if it was pulled on UK Motown and only Demos snook out. Eyup.... Haven't I got a copy on UK "Ten" label? Just came to me... or am I talking Bo**locks? Sean
